Why would cats even love snow so much? Well, snow is basically a giant fluffy playground for cats. The snow brings a lot of new smells and textures for a cat to explore, so walking through it can feel like an adventure for them. Kittens especially love it because they're more playful by nature (like all kids), and seeing them pounce through thick snow is simply adorable. Snow can really be a purrfect environment for cats.

But why do some cats not like snow as much as others? For some cats, snow is a blanket of unpleasant wetness and cold, which triggers their sensitive paws when they walk on it. And have you ever seen a cat enjoying soggy fur? Yeah, me neither. But snow tends to do that - it's basically water in a different form. And while snow can bring many new smells a cat might be curious about, it also masks the familiar smells they usually know from the yard and the street, which could get them stressed. Besides, most cats don't like being cold - they much prefer a warm sunbeam.
